Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated October 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how DevelopLex LLC handles information collected through the DevelopLex platform. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how DevelopLex LLC ("DevelopLex," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you visit our website, create an account, submit a listing, request an introduction, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise interact with the Platform.

By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways:

  • Information you provide directly: your name, email address, company, title, phone number, bio, practice areas, project and deal details, introduction requests, contact form messages, and newsletter sign-ups.
  • Information from sign-in: when you sign in with email and password or a supported third-party provider, we receive basic account details such as your name, email address, and profile photo.
  • Information collected automatically: pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and interaction data, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Information That Becomes Public

DevelopLex is a network platform, so some information is intended to be visible to others. Approved directory profiles, project and development listings, and deal or capital listings are visible to other users and, in many cases, to the public and to search engines.

Please do not submit information you are not comfortable sharing. You control what appears in your listing, and you can request an update or removal at any time through the contact form.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide access to Platform features.
  • Review, publish, and display directory profiles, projects, deals, events, and articles.
  • Facilitate introduction requests and route them to the right people.
  • Respond to your questions, submissions, and support requests.
  • Send service messages, editorial newsletters, and updates you have opted into.
  • Understand how the Platform is used and improve its content, features, and performance.
  • Protect the Platform against abuse, spam, fraud, and security threats.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure how the Platform is used, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect how the Platform works.

Some third-party content embedded in the Platform, such as podcast players, mapping data, and social media embeds, may set its own cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy. We do not control those technologies.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • With other users, as part of a public listing or of an introduction you have requested.
  • With service providers who help us host the Platform, store data, send email, and analyze usage, under contracts that limit their use of the information.
  • With our team members, for reviewing submissions and operating the Platform.
  • When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform links to and embeds services we do not operate, including Spotify, Google, mapping and location data provided in association with Carto Commercial, and social media platforms. When you interact with those services, their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we encourage you to review them.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Listing content may remain in archived or cached form, including in search engine indexes, after removal from the Platform.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it so it can no longer be linked to you.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

10. Your Choices and Rights

You can exercise the following controls:

  • Update or correct your profile information at any time through your account.
  • Unsubscribe from editorial emails using the link in any newsletter or by contacting us.
  • Request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information through the contact form.
  • Request that your directory listing, project, or deal listing be removed from the Platform.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including rights to know what categories of information we collect and to opt out of certain sharing. We will honor verified requests as required by applicable law.

11. Children

The Platform is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18, and we do not permit accounts for anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will delete it.

12. International Users

DevelopLex is operated in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
